A Journey of Your Own is a creative writing program that has students master using story structures to tell their best possible stories. Students will develop unique characters and settings and take them on epic journeys. While enhancing creative writing skills, students will be faced with challenges and prompts to practice problem-solving, critical thinking, and creativity.
Turn the traditional plot pyramid upside down, master foreshadowing and plot twists, and learn how to develop your stories in ways that keep readers glued to the page as you create a journey of your own!
By focusing on key aspects of story structure, learners strengthen their writing skills to ensure their stories have everything they need to keep readers glued to the page.
Learners create unique worlds, characters, and plots. Their short stories follow established story structures and show a deep understanding of advanced storytelling.
Through collaborative discussions and solo creative prompts, learners gain experience with managing unexpected situations. They discover solutions while maintaining the overall direction of their projects.
Imagine otherworldly places with their own well-thought-out system of rules, culture, history, and ecosystems. Learners take their first steps into creating mystical settings that are deserving of their own movie/book franchise.

We run programs at our studio in Central or on campus at our various partner schools such as Stamford American School of Hong Kong, American International School, Canadian International School, DSC International School of Canada, and various others through our after-school or holiday program offerings.
For our beginners-level English programs, an A2 CEFR (Elementary) level of English (or equivalent) is required so that we can provide the best learning experience possible for your child. We are happy to provide assistance to help place your child in our programs. Please reach out for a chat!
