We were invited by The University of Hong Kong to hold a semester-long research project with undergraduates from all disciplines.
Titled “Serious Gaming”, students were tasked with designing educational games of their own and holding a workshop and debrief session where they hosted these games.
Following a students-as-partners approach, we first designed an exemplar game to demo the whole design project, after which guided our students through the game design process.
